About Alexandra

American soprano, Alexandra Kosachukova Babbel has entertained audiences throughout the world
in the title roles such as Mimi, Musetta, Pamina, First Lady, and Magda and was recognized as an expert in modern opera of the twentieth-century singing world premiere performances such as “The Aspern Papers.” With degrees in Choral Music Education, Opera Performance and Pedagogy and professional representation in Chicago, Ms. Babbel has achieved significant recognition as a performer and pedagogue.
Ms. Babbel opened Alexandra Babbel Studios and founded Opera Kelowna. She continues conducting ensembles and has arranged educational performance tours to Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Netherlands, England and several tours
to New York City. She has offered opportunities
for singers in master classes and private instruction with opera greats such as Barbara Bonney, Isabel Bakdarian, and Dawn Upshaw. Numerous pupils who began with Alexandra Babbel Studios are now professional singers.
